About Om Al-Qura School

Om Al-Qura Arabic and Islamic Studies school is a community based organization that runs under Ottawa Muslim Association (OMA). The school runs the Saturday Islamic Studies (Quran) program under OMA and the Arabic class under the Conseil des écoles catholiques, International Language Program (ILP).

The Arabic Program is 2.5 hrs. from 1:00-3:30 free of cost or religion content and is supported by Permanent Education, ILP. All contributions collected from parents are used to cover school expenses, and extra curriculum activities for the Islamic Studies program from 3:30-5:00. Registration is open all year for both programs.

Om Al-Qura school has a wonderful team of qualified teachers who are able to deliver to students in Arabic, English and/or French languages. Students are welcomed even if they have no previous exposure to Arabic Language.

School Vision

The vision of the school is to establish a relaxed yet disciplined environment integrated within the Canadian system where students can learn Arabic, learn Quran and Islamic Studies, make friends, have fun, build confidence and be proud of their culture.

School Hours

Fall hours: Saturday at 35 Melrose Ave. – Arabic from 1:00-3:30 and Islamic Studies from 3:30-5:00

Summer Program: Monday to Friday for the month of July at 35 Melrose Ave.

Morning Session starts 9:00 AM

Afternoon Session starts 1:00 AM
